Bowa Construction provided general contracting services for the
Village of Dixmoor’s new $1.3 million Recreational Facility. Once
an abandoned building, the new 10,400 SF facility includes a
7,200 SF basketball court and 3,200 SF of office space,
classrooms and restrooms. Scope of work included new HVAC
consisting of duct work and installation of three air-handling units
and air condensing units; new plumbing including new piping and
fixtures; new electrical which entailed installing new panels,
conduits, wiring, transformer and light fixtures; and new fire
suppression systems including sprinkler piping, alarm systems
and an annunciator panel. Additional scope consisted of installing
a detention pond, storm water utilities and a new asphalt parking
lot.
