improvements throughout the building, including the addition of
a new enclosed staircase from the basement to the roof. Exterior
work will include the removal of two fire escapes from the north

of face brick, terra cotta and sandstone. In addition, existing wood
double hung windows will also be repaired and replaced as
needed.
