Nosa has always been a part of the construction industry; one could agree that it is a part of his DNA strand. Growing up Nosa watched his father diligently grow his business in real estate and construction development. His drive to succeed was fueled further by experiencing his father’s company, Bendel Development; establish a local presence in Chicago; constructing and renovating residential properties. It was during this time that he gained experience through his work as a laborer and project manager.
Before taking on the responsibility of leading Bowa, Nosa was with Gilbane Building Company for 10 years. It was in July of 2013 that he decided to leave his prestigious role with the company, working in their Special Projects Group, and follow in the steps of his father. Nosa has managed projects in K-12, Mission Critical, Higher Education, Retail, Healthcare, interior renovations, Higher education, Residential, and Financial Institutions. His Drive and motivation are what helped him accelerate his career with Gilbane when he became one the youngest senior managers for the organization.
Not only does Nosa have the experience but he also has the backing of several academic compliments. He holds an MBA from Purdue University and a Bachelors in Construction Systems Management, with a minor in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University. It was here that he flourished both in and out of the classroom. While at Ohio State Nosa was an All American full-scholarship student-athlete in Track&field. Among many accomplishments on the track, he claimed the Olympic B qualification and Big Ten Championship in the triple jump. And none of this is new to Nosa, he has been considered an All-American athlete since the 6th grade; traits that are inherit to who he is, competition, discipline, dedication, and focus. All of which are still guiding principles in the way he conducts business.
Community is not just a part of Bowa’s missions statement but it is a part of Nosa’s personal mission. He serves as a member of several community focused boards in the city; an executive board member of North Branch Works, The University Illinois Chicago Children’s Hospital, and the Accelerate Institute.
